Choreography
Choreography is one of Parker's favorite aspects of skating, especially when he is working with young skaters. “I enjoy teaching kids creativity and helping them find the right combination for their own style,“ Parker says. “I take into account everything from costume design to music choice, personality, and beyond.”
“I feel the whole package has never been as important as it is now with the new judging system,” Parker continues. “My goal as a choreographer is to guide the kids on the right path and open their eyes to what they are capable of.”
“If I can give them a better sense of themselves, then I will feel accomplished as a choreographer,” he concludes.
Parker has had the privilege and honor of working with some extraordinary choreographers over the course of his career, including Nikolai Morosov, Tom Dickson, Pasquale Camarlengo, Angelika Krylova, Renee Roca, Nathan Birch, Olga Volchinskaya, and LeAnn Miller.
