About Parker
U.S. Men's Figure Skater Parker Pennington fell in love with figure skating when he was only three years old. He has competed in both the U.S. and internationally, and has worked with many renowned coaches and choreographers over the years. Parker has the distinction of being the only men's figure skater to win the National title at the Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, and Junior levels.
Parker also pursues a number of creative interests and hobbies outside of skating. Most notably, Parker created, produced and performed in the very first Skate For Life benefit ice show in April 2008, which raised more than $21,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. His inspiration for putting the show together came from his dad, who was diagnosed with the disease in 1998. He credits his success in figure skating for allowing him the opportunity to bring hope to others, through both his on and off ice endeavors.
Parker is skilled in choreography, costume design, and modeling, and loves to create unique art.
Parker wants to share his expertise and creativity with you, your skating club, or charity organization. The money he earns goes directly toward funding his training expenses and further his dream of being an Olympian.
Parker currently trains in Cleveland, Ohio with coaches Carol Heiss Jenkins and Roberta Mitchell. His post-skating goals include coaching and possibly becoming a sports psychologist.
